WALTHAM, Mass.— RTN Federal Credit Union and RTN Financial & Retirement Group hosted a “Women & Investing” educational event at the Embassy Suites here.
Representatives from RTN’s select employer groups (SEGs) and business affiliates, along with RTN staff attended the complimentary seminar, and enjoyed breakfast while learning from a national expert on how women can take control of their financial future and plan for retirement.
The seminar was presented by Cindi Hill, Retirement Solutions Consultant. Hill leads the financial planning team for Wealth Management of CUNA Mutual Group.
Attendees learned about key investment principles every woman should know, important opportunities like asset allocation, understanding investor behavior, and differences between financial products like mutual funds and annuities. Women tend to earn less and live longer than men so saving for retirement may be an added challenge, the credit union noted.
