WALTHAM, N.Y.– RTN Federal Credit Union raises funds each month to support credit union advocacy efforts through its casual dress program called Blue Jeans Days.
On the last two Fridays of each month, RTN employees have the opportunity to wear jeans to work for a charitable donation of $2. Additionally, jeans may be worn on Saturdays for a donation of an additional dollar.
All funds donated by employees voluntarily wearing jeans on these days are donated to the political action committees run by the Credit Union Cooperative Association (50% to CULAC and 50% to MCULPAC).
“This is a great example of how giving small amounts can add up to support credit union advocacy efforts,” said Mary Wright, RTN Federal Credit Union Vice President for Human Resources. “It is a fun way to give back to our industry.”
