SANTA ROSA, Calif.– A team of 13 Redwood Credit Union (RCU) employees and family members, along with approximately 80 other community volunteers recently participated in the 6th Annual Laguna de Santa Rosa Re-Leaf Day—a local tree-planting effort to help restore the degraded habitat area along Irwin Creek near the Laguna. More than 900 trees and shrubs were planted at the event.
Redwood Credit Union’s sustainability programs include their Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED)-certified Administrative Offices in Santa Rosa, featuring a 2,000-panel rooftop solar array; recycling programs at all branches; green-friendly services such as paperless online banking, bill pay and eStatements; loan discounts on qualified hybrid vehicles; and an online green center where Members can find tips on reducing waste, energy efficiency and more.
