NOVATO, Calif.--Richard De Ramon, Novato branch manager at Redwood Credit Union (RCU), has been recognized as Novato Chamber Ambassador of the Year by the Novato Chamber of Commerce.
A Novato Chamber Ambassador for three years, Mr. De Ramon promotes the Chamber and its purpose by enlisting new members, maintaining relationships with current members, and serving as a goodwill representative at a variety of functions. He also aims to develop new business contacts in Novato while increasing community-wide recognition for the Chamber and Redwood Credit Union.
“I’m honored to have received this recognition from the Novato Chamber,” said Mr. De Ramon whose award was presented at the Novato Chamber Board Installation, Awards, and Volunteer Recognition dinner on January 14. “Community involvement is greatly valued at Redwood Credit Union, and that really resonates with me. Being a Chamber ambassador has been an excellent opportunity to serve those within the Novato community.”
With more than 30 years of financial services experience, Mr. De Ramon is a graduate of San Francisco State University. Prior to joining Redwood Credit Union, Mr. De Ramon served as regional sales manager at Home Savings of America and Downey Savings, as well as corporate vice president for Imperial Capital Bank.
Recently, Mr. De Ramon joined the Novato Business Association where he aims to raise awareness about the importance of shopping local and how it benefits local economic growth. He believes his role as Chamber ambassador will give him insight into the needs and trends affecting local businesses.
