Rep. Holds Event at Teachers Federal on EITC

HAUPPAUGUE, N.Y.-- Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, C – NY-1), hosted a press conference at Teachers Federal Credit Union here, along with Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri and members of TFCU and IRS, to raise awareness of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a tax credit that benefits many working individuals and families, but unfortunately, is often underutilized. The EITC is a tax credit for those individuals and families with low to moderate income levels. In order to qualify, an individual must meet certain requirements. They would also need to file a tax return, even if they are not otherwise required to file, or do not owe any taxes.
