Royal CU Cuts Ribbon on Office

EAU CLAIRE, Wis.–Royal Credit Union (Royal) hosted a grand opening celebration for its new Eau Claire Downtown office. The new location replaces the previous Eau Claire Downtown office which was located on Bellinger Street.

During the weeklong celebration, Members and community residents were invited to stop by the new office to enjoy special treats, learn more about the credit union, and enter to win large gift baskets.

A ribbon cutting and statue dedication ceremony hosted by the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce. Event speakers included Eau Claire City Council President, Terry Weld, Eau Claire County Board Chair, Nick Smiar, as well as Royal’s Board Chairman, Tom Huffcutt and President/CEO Brandon Riechers.

Local artist Dan Ingersoll designed a unique exterior sculpture on the office property that offers a visual representation of Royal's past, present, and future. Ingersoll spoke to the audience about the symbolic elements he was able to incorporate into the design of The Royal Sculpture.

“This new office gives us a unique opportunity to honor our roots and continue to invest in the economic development of the Chippewa Valley,” said Riechers. “The original downtown Eau Claire office on Bellinger Street opened in 1977, and we are proud to be a part of this neighborhood for the past 45 years. As we looked to create a new space to better meet the needs of our members, it was important for us to stay close to our original location. We are excited that this new office is located just a few blocks away and look forward to serving our members and the Eau Claire community for many years to come.”

The new Eau Claire Downtown office features the latest technology and a lobby designed to enhance privacy and create a comfortable environment for Members to ask questions and seek advice on their personal financial matters.

There is also a Royal Credit Union history exhibit inside the office to display artifacts from Royal's early days and share information about how the credit union was started to serve former Uniroyal tire plant employees and their families.
