EAU CLAIRE, Wis. –Royal Credit Union has opened its Mortgage Operations Center at 419 N Hastings Place. The location will serve as a hub for mortgage and home equity office operations and will be open by appointment only, the credit union said.
“Royal’s growth in mortgage products and services made the creation of the Mortgage Operations Center a priority. This location gives Royal the opportunity to improve operational efficiencies for our mortgage operations team members allowing them to serve our Members more effectively,” said Brandon Riechers, president/CEO of Royal Credit Union. “While this Mortgage Operation Center will centralize mortgage operations for our Wisconsin region, Royal continues to make it easy for its members by offering access to mortgage lenders in multiple offices and communities.”
The Mortgage Operations Center building has historical significance for Royal Credit Union. It originally opened in June 1972 as Royal’s first office building outside the Uniroyal tire plant and served as a retail office and Royal’s corporate headquarters. In 2005, Royal moved its corporate headquarters to downtown Eau Claire, but the Birch Street location continued to operate as a retail office until June of 2022. At that time Royal CU sad its retail operations moved just down the street to the new Altoona office and renovations for the new Mortgage Operations Center began.
