SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — Santa Cruz Community Credit Union (SCCCU) has hired Joey Coffman as Vice President of Technology and Innovation, and Laura Monique Brown Owen as Director of Community Development and Learning.

Coffman will oversee technology projects, automation, and innovation at the Credit Union, developing best practices for digital technology and innovation. He was born and raised in Santa Cruz County and is a proud graduate of Cabrillo College. Joey brings over eight years of credit union experience to SCCCU, starting his career as a member relationship specialist.
Owen Brown brings over 20 years of credit union experience to SCCCU. Her extensive operations background will support the Credit Union’s mission as she leads SCCCU’s financial literacy and community outreach programs. Laura is an active volunteer in the county and is passionate about helping the underserved and unbanked.
