RALEIGH, N.C. – State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) is once again offering its seasonal discount theme park ticket program to members. Nine area attractions are featured among the list of parks, including Busch Gardens-Williamsburg, Carowinds, Dollywood, Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park, Kings Dominion, Myrtle Waves Water Park, Ocean Breeze Waterpark-Virginia Beach, Tweetsie Railroad, and Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe. SECU members can visit any of the Credit Union’s statewide branches to purchase discount tickets through Sept. 28th.
SECU said its ticket consignment program has been a membership favorite since it launched 16 years ago in partnership with the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC). It provides Credit Union and SEANC members the opportunity to purchase tickets locally at reduced rates from standard gate prices.
“Now that it’s spring, many members are ready to plan family vacations and fun getaways to their favorite parks,” said Megan Jackson, Senior Financial Services Representative and ticket coordinator at SECU’s Henderson branch. “Members start calling days and sometimes weeks in advance to make sure they can get tickets. They appreciate the convenience and cost-saving benefits of the program. Kings Dominion and Carowinds tend to be our biggest sellers, along with Wet ‘N Wild because of our close location to these parks.”
