FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn.–SPIRE Credit Union was a sponsor of the 6th Annual Clouds Choir for a Cause, the capstone to the KS95 for Kids Radiothon benefiting Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and the Children’s Research Fund. During the event, SPIRE President/CEO Dan Stoltz presented a check on behalf of SPIRE for $10,000.
Held in the main rotunda of Mall of America, the Clouds Choir for a Cause is made up of thousands of volunteers from across Minnesota and Wisconsin who sing a song written by Zach Sobiech. Sobiech passed away in 2013 at age 17 of the rare bone cancer, osteosarcoma. He wrote “Clouds” as a way to say goodbye to his friends and family, which later became a top selling song on iTunes, Spotify, and Billboard.
KS95 has produced its radiothon for 20 years and raised more than $600,000 in 2018.
SPIRE also has had a longstanding relationship with Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare while raising money for the organization though the Credit Unions for Kids program.
