EAGAN and EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.–SPIRE Credit Union employees and family members recently participated in the MobilePack event for Feed my Starving Children (FMSC). The SPIRE team prepared nine boxes out of 103 total boxes of food packaged at this event; enough food to feed 787 children for an entire year.
FMSC is 100% donor funded and their MobilePack program connects volunteers from across the United States to children across the world. Because of our low overhead costs, donations of time or money go a long way in the fight against world hunger. FMSC has devoted more than 92% of total donations directly to feeding children.
SPIRE employees have a long-standing commitment to social responsibility. “I am so honored to work for an organization like SPIRE who supports employees in their community outreach initiatives,” says Mike Elliott, SPIRE Eagan Branch Manager, “Each day we are encouraged to live the credit union philosophy of people-helping-people.”
