SANTA CRUZ, Calif.–Santa Cruz Community Credit Union (SCCCU) has been awarded three 2022 Diamond Awards by the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council.
The wards recognized the CU’s RETURN THE FAVOR Giving Campaign, In Common eNewsletter, and Common Insights for Business eNewsletter.
The RETURN THE FAVOR campaign and In Common eNewsletter won for “Best in Category,” respectively, which is the most prestigious award an organization can receive in each category entered.
“I’m very proud of our marketing team for their efforts that typically go unsung,” stated Beth Carr, president/CEO of SCCCU. “If a credit union wins one Diamond Award, it’s a huge honor, and we won three. But to win two ‘Best in Category’ awards is mind-blowing for us. Again, we’re so proud and honored to receive such prestigious recognition for our Credit Union.”

“Our board of directors should be applauded for coming up with the idea to give back to local non-profits during the first six months of the pandemic,” stated Carr. “That’s really how we began the idea of RETURN THE FAVOR, and since then, it’s been a great way to give back and help those most vulnerable in our community.” This year’s Diamond with competition received 1,195 entries, and 163 winners.
