MASSENA, N.Y.— Scott Wilson, president and CEO of the $500-million SeaComm FCU here, recently spoke at the State University at Canton’s Excellence in Leadership program.
Invited to present by university President Zvi Szafran, Wilson addressed students, faculty, guests and senior leaders of the school, providing an illustrated overview of SeaComm and himself as a role model—sharing what he did at various stages of his professional life to be where he is today. Wilson also spoke about what it takes to stay at the top in a career and mastering technical skills and “soft” interpersonal skills.
Wilson, too, shared his views on the current and future business climate of credit unions and what students should do to move up the corporate ladder after getting their first entry-level position.
A reception and dinner was hosted in Wilson’s honor following the lecture.
