PORTSMOUTH, N.H. –Service Credit Union and its members made the season brighter for hundreds of New Hampshire children by donating 3,324 gifts as part of the Toys for Tots campaign.
During the 2018 Toys for Tots Drive, Service Credit Union teamed with the U.S. Marine Corps, WMUR and WHEB to encourage residents to bring unwrapped gifts to any of the SCU’s New Hampshire branches. The campaign totals were 18,465 toys and more than $20,000 in cash and gift cards.
“So many families in our New Hampshire communities struggle to provide the necessities to their children. We wanted to make sure that these children had a holiday,” said Wendy Beswick, VP-marketing at Service Credit Union. “We want to thank all of our members for their generous donations, and our partners in this worthwhile endeavor, WMUR, WHEB and the U.S. Marine Corps.”
With the gift-giving spirit of Service Credit Union, its members, WMUR, WHEB and the Marines, many more New Hampshire children were able to get presents under their tree on Christmas Day.
