KENSINGTON, Md. —Signal Financial Federal Credit Union opened its newest branch inside the Leisure World community. The 70-year-old, Kensington-based Credit Union occupies the space vacated by Bank of America.
“We felt that the Leisure World residents deserved a convenient, relationship-based banking experience available to them in their backyard,” said CEO Francois Verleysen. “We also see the new branch at Leisure World as an opportunity to strengthen our bond with the Silver Spring community, where both Leisure World and Signal have had a presence for decades.”
Signal Financial said its team held several orientation and membership application events at Leisure World in July, with positive reception from residents.
“It’s encouraging to see the excitement first hand. The people here are really special. We’re excited to be expanding our credit union family, and look forward to assisting the residents of Leisure World with their financial needs,” said Bill Kowall, VP of Member Experience for Signal.
