STRATFORD, Conn.–As students are heading back to school, Sikorsky CU members helped to ease the strain felt by some families by donating school supplies at several branches with items going directly to community organizations.
Members dropped off school supplies in Seymour, Shelton and Stratford, with funds benefiting Derby’s Team Inc. (Seymour), Shelton’s Boys & Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley (Shelton) and Sterling House Community Center (Stratford.)
During August, members gave generously and the results were noteworthy, the credit union said. “I am pleased and proud of the support our members gave this program, “ said Josie Ponce, Seymour branch manager. “Thanks to the efforts of our members, many students are going to school more prepared this year.”
