STRATFORD, Conn.–– For a fourth year, Sikorsky Credit Union has donated $5,000 to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school. The Imagination Library was started in 1995 by singer Dolly Parton and it was her mission to foster a love of reading among preschool children and ensure that every child has books - regardless of their family’s income.
Each month, registered children receive an age-appropriate book directly to their homes. The Stratford chapter is headed by the Stratford Education Foundation and began in 2019.
“We are proud to partner with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to provide young children in Stratford with essential resources to set them up for success at an early age,” said President and CEO Vincent Ciambriello. “We are confident children will develop a passion for reading with these books.”
