GERMANTOWN, Md.–Skypoint FCU hosted a season finale party to mark its participation in the PBS series Opportunity Knock$. The credit union was among those that helped people to turn around their financial lives, a story that was documented as part of the series.
The finale party was held at the AFI Silver Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in downtown Silver Spring, with the local family that was part of the program also on hand. That family had credit card debt exceeding $100,000 while also supporting their son’s college education.
SkyPoint FCU refinanced their loan at a significantly lower interest rate, and also reduced their monthly payment from $3,500 to $1,200.
