Solarity CU Contributes $15,000 to Hospital

YAKIMA, Wash.–Solarity Credit Union has made a $15,000 donation to Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital. The contribution is set to assist families in the heart of the Yakima Valley and around Washington by helping Children’s Miracle Network fund critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, and charitable care.

“At Solarity we deal a lot in financial health, and we often make parallels between the financial services industry and the healthy industry. Our ‘patients’ or our customers/members are often vulnerable in our expert care just as patients are with expert the care within Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said President/CEO Mina Worthington. “The management team at Solarity believes that community involvement is more than just giving time and money. We believe it’s about building a healthier Yakima and about building a stronger community.  We want to promote that idea and make sure we are all doing our part to create a healthier community through giving back. Giving to the community means giving to our most vulnerable and caring for the most vulnerable.”
