MIAMI – South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union (SFEFCU) hosted 15 high school seniors from several Miami Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) as part of its Summer Internship Program.
Students from Career and Technical Education Programs were selected to work in the Credit Union’s headquarters and branches.
According to SFEFCU, the Summer Internship Program provides interns a real-life working experience, with students working for five weeks in the Accounting, Branch and Lobby Services, Human Resources, Marketing and Information Technology departments. As part of the program students perform departmental tasks and also complete weekly assignments related to skills learned on the job.
Since 2007, the South Florida Educational FCU has hosted more than 100 high school interns, and served as a launching pad for their careers.
