ST. CLOUD, Minn.– St. Cloud Federal Credit Union CEO Jed A. Meyer has been awarded the St. Cloud Times Media “5 Under 40” award. This prestigious award is based on community leaders under age 40 who thrive in innovation and making a difference.

The nomination process was evaluated under key criteria including leadership in his field, innovation, work in a new or emerging market, ability to shape the economic future of central Minnesota, and community involvement. “Jed has many achievements prior to coming to our credit union and has done great things here as well! This is a well-deserved award; I am proud to be on his team and can’t wait to see what else our credit union will accomplish!” stated Alyce Justin, Executive Vice President/COO and 36 year employee of St. Cloud Federal Credit Union.
Mr. Meyer joined his credit union as President and CEO nearly two years ago. Since that time the organization has experienced unprecedented growth while undergoing a brand transformation. With Meyer’s leadership, loan and asset growth, ROA growth, reduced delinquency, and a recent merger have well positioned St. Cloud Federal Credit Union for the future. “5 Under 40” is a recognition of his leadership that expands into community volunteerism and commitment of his personal time as well.
When asked how he felt about winning the award, Mr. Meyer stated that “the possibilities of what we can do for others while leading a cooperative is truly exponential! I have always been driven to push the envelope in making sure our credit union truly gives back to our members, employees, and our community at the highest degree. The fact that I am now being recognized for our work here is truly humbling and I am now inspired and motivated to do even more. What a blessing it is to be able to do what you are passionate about!”
Mr. Meyer and the other award recipients will be honored at a public event on January 19th.
