Suffolk FCU Holds Branch Grand Opening

SAYVILLE, N.Y.–Suffolk Federal celebrated the grand opening of its newest location here with an afternoon of summertime festivities that were open to the public. Suffolk Federal’s Sayville Community Grand Opening Celebration took place a Saturday, and than 100 attendees were treated to a delicious BBQ and enjoyed a “Crack the Safe” game in which an abundance of prizes were given out to lucky winners while children delighted in fun-filled activities including face painting and balloon twisting.   

In addition, the community had an opportunity to mingle with Suffolk Federal employees who were available to answer questions about the branch and Suffolk Federal’s offerings. 

“We are excited to become an integral part of Sayville and to offer our premier member services, expert financial guidance and custom tailored banking solutions to this vibrant community,” explained William J. O’Brien, President & CEO of Suffolk Federal.  “The opening of the Sayville branch represents our commitment to Suffolk County and to serving as a valuable resource to help our members grow and prosper.”

Manager Sana Ashfaq is leading the team at the branch which includes Suffolk Federal’s user-friendly design with 24-hour ATM access, a technology bar where members can learn about mobile banking and more.  Sana is responsible for managing all branch operations and new business development to further organizational growth and strengthen current relationships with membership

“This is an exciting opportunity which enables me to share Suffolk Federal’s valuable customer service with the Sayville community,” explained Ashfaq.  “We are excited to partner with Sayville’s residents, local businesses and community leaders to provide easy access to our innovative products and valuable services and solutions which address financial needs.”

The community grand opening follows a recent ribbon cutting featuring local dignitaries, including Suffolk Federal’s Board, staff and several Long Island elected officials including Suffolk County Comptroller John M. Kennedy, Jr., Town of Islip Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, NYS Senator Thomas Croci’s District Office Director Eric Hofmeister and Sayville Chamber of Commerce Board President Robert Blair.
