SUFFOLK, N.Y.– In an effort to support the charitable work of local organizations that serve the areas of Suffolk Federal branch locations, In Sayville Branch Manager Pamela Werner presented a $1,000 contribution to The Greater Sayville Food Pantry.
“I love working in a community where local businesses like Suffolk Federal, support local organizations that are making a true difference,” said Werner. “The Sayville community has come together to donate to the food pantry since 1990. There is such an outpouring of support and so many volunteers who help to take care of those less fortunate. We’re proud to be part of that.”
“We’re thankful to Suffolk Federal for their generous donation. In the last few years, we have seen a large increase in visitors,” said Chestene Coverdale, Executive Director of The Greater Sayville Food Pantry. “Schools now send home a list of supplies that each student is required to bring which has been an additional hardship for many families. This donation is going to help tremendously to provide food for these families since they struggle to afford both."
