SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y.--Suffolk Federal has promoted Laura Sferruzzo to Branch Manager of the credit union’s Eastport Branch.
Sferruzzo is responsible for developing new business relationships in conjunction with meeting credit union goals of increased membership, and loan and deposit growth. She manages all branch operations, performs regular analysis of production nand sales data, and participates in local community affairs.
Sferruzzo joined Suffolk Federal in 1997 as a Financial Services Representative and most recently, served as the Assistant Branch Manager at Eastport. She assisted with the implementation of Suffolk Federal’s Remote Check Deposit service, Verifan (CTR Compliance Program), eStatements and Branch Capture (Check 21). Sferruzzo is a member of the Eastport Chamber of Commerce, the CU said.
The CU has also promoted Patricia Matuozzi to Senior Compliance Officer.
In this position, Matuozzi assists with the credit union’s overall compliance, security and risk management programs to ensure that all applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements are adhered to. She is responsible for the Bank Secrecy Program and management of all processes. Matuozzi is a liaison with external legal counsel, law enforcement officials and external credit union personnel regarding fraud operations.
She joined Suffolk Federal in 2004 as an Assistant Branch Manager and most recently served as Compliance Officer in the Medford Branch.
