JACKSON, Mich. – TRUE Community Credit Union awards 10 individuals as part of their Annual Employee Awards. The awards were announced during an all-staff meeting on February 10, 2022. The awards were given based on personal nominations from team members.
Heather Harback, Vice President of People and Culture Management, says, "We have an amazing team who deliver on our values every day. The Annual Employee Awards create the opportunity for any employee to nominate and recognize someone who is consistently living out those values and going above and beyond for our members, community and teammates. Our winners were voted on by their peers, and that signifies the incredible impact they’ve had at TRUECCU.”
Awards were given in three categories: The Value Champion Awards, The Pillar Awards and Employee of the Year Award. Within these three categories, the awards were broken down again by the CU's Values, Member Service and Community. The winners of each category are the following:
The 2021 Values Champion Awards:
- Paige Noppe – Joy: Making joy common in uncommon places.
- Perry Nichols and Doug Cole – Stewardship: Exceptional stewardship of all interests entrusted to the credit unions care.
- Daphne Smith – People: Focuses on people over profit, process and product.
- Kayla Muraski – Empower: An empowered organization founded in experience-focused solutions.
- Amanda Fracker – Gratitude: Unwavering faith in people and the virtues of gratitude and humility.
- Abby Hawkins – Feedback: Two-Way feedback graciously welcomed and respectfully given.
- Shannon Hines – Curiosity: Relentless curiosity.
- Racquel Staelens – Opportunity: A deep-seated appetite to realize opportunity through innovation.
The 2021 Pillar Award Nominees:
- Shannon Hines – Member-Centered: This individual maintains a clear and consistent focus on member service/ experience throughout their work.
- Chad VanRiper – Community-Minded: This individual is fully committed to volunteering their time and talents in the community.
- Perry Nichols – TRUE-Team Focused: Contributing to a great place to work is this individual's jam.
The 2021 Employee of the Year:
- Cam Shultz – Employee of the Year: Someone who demonstrates the very best of TRUECCU and our culture consistently.
