SOUTH BEND, Ind. –Teachers Credit Union (TCU), the largest credit union in Indiana, is now open and ready to serve members at its newest Mishawaka location at 345 Bittersweet Road. Formerly inside Martin’s Supermarket located across the street, the new free-standing branch will allow TCU to offer members a more complete line of services, including traditional checking, savings and credit cards along with investment, insurance and mortgage services.
“Our member base in Mishawaka is very strong, and we wanted to ensure we were meeting their financial needs with as much convenience and access as we can offer,” said Paul Marsh, president and CEO of TCU. “A full service branch on Bittersweet Road branch creates a stronger pinpoint for members on their financial success map.”
The Bittersweet branch will now offer four teller stations, including one that is handicapped accessible, three drive-up windows and drive-up ATM access, and approximately eight representatives to answer questions and assist members with their financial transactions. With the opening of this branch, TCU now has four Mishawaka locations and 15 throughout the South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart areas.
This expansion is part of a larger growth initiative for TCU as the organization approaches its eighty-fifth anniversary. As Indiana’s largest credit union, TCU is unique because it can offer membership to almost everyone who resides in Indiana, where other credit unions are still more restricted in their membership qualifications.
