Teachers FCU Raises Record $1.1 Million for Children's Miracle Network

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.—Teachers Federal Credit Union said it has raised more than $1.1 million for Children's Miracle Network, marking a record fundraising year and bringing its total support for the charity to more than $3 million since 2023. The $10-billion credit union said the funds will help support children's hospitals nationwide by providing critical care, specialized equipment, life-saving treatments and other services for young patients and their families.

The record total was driven largely by the credit union's Fourth Annual Golf Tournament, held June 3 at Westhampton Country Club in Westhampton Beach, N.Y. Teachers FCU said nearly 200 attendees from across the country participated in the event, which it described as the largest golf fundraiser benefiting Children's Miracle Network in the Northeast.

"We are honored to continue supporting Children's Miracle Network and the extraordinary work they do for children and families," President and CEO Brad Calhoun said in a statement. He credited the fundraising success to the generosity of employees, members and business partners, noting that the effort helps provide resources that make a meaningful difference in children's lives.

In addition to fundraising, Teachers employees supported Children's Miracle Network through volunteer projects that included creating no-sew blankets, assembling craft kits and participating in donation drives. The credit union said the initiative reflects its broader community commitment. In 2025, Teachers FCU contributed more than $1.6 million to 120 nonprofit organizations, logged more than 3,500 volunteer hours and supported programs focused on education, health and human services, economic development and research.
