CEDAR HILL, Texas—Texas Trust Credit Union has been named Community Partner of the Year by Cedar Hill Independent School District.
Superintendent Orlando Riddick presented the award to Texas Trust at the schools' annual Educator Awards Ceremony. Texas Trust received the inaugural award for its in-kind and monetary contributions over the past six years, which have exceeded $200,000.
Texas Trust’s Spirit Debit Reward card has been a key fund raising tool, generating nearly $160,000 for Cedar Hill ISD. The school district has used the money to purchase materials for teachers and students and for support of various student programs and teacher events.
Texas Trust is actively involved throughout the school district, providing staff resources and programs for convocation, back to school rallies, student registration, open houses, new teacher orientation, teacher appreciation lunches, elementary carnivals, and financial education workshops for students and parents.
