SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine--Town & Country Federal Credit Union is contributing to the Preble Street Food Security Hub to provide funding for 7,500 meals.
“This is such a generous donation that will help Preble Street Food Security Hub serve those in need on New Year’s Day and the first few days of 2025. We are grateful to have good friends like Town & Country to help us provide over 1,000,000 meals each year," said Melanie McKean, Development Director at Preble Street!
Jon Paradise, Senior Vice President at Town & Country, said the contribution focuses on beginning the new year by making a difference through its commitment to ‘local helping local’. “Of course, we are focused on helping people with their finances in the new year but also finding a way to make an impact that goes beyond credit cards, loans and savings and benefits our community, as a whole. Understanding that hope can go a long way in helping people, the opportunity to partner with Preble Street Food Security Hub with a donation that provides 7,500 meals to those in need covering the first few days of 2025 is our way of ‘serving’ up hope as a new year begins.”
