Traugut Named Hanscom FCU's Cushman Award Winner

HANSCOM AFB, Mass. – Jason Traugut, Hanscom FCU’s e-commerce support specialist, has been honored with the Cushman Award at the credit union’s annual employee appreciation event.

“The Cushman Award goes to the staff member who best embodies the ideals of Hanscom FCU,” said Paul Marotta, Chairman of the Board at Hanscom FCU. “Not only does Jason provide superior service to members, he also helps his coworkers succeed at their jobs.”

Traugut began working at Hanscom FCU in 2014 and quickly became the go-to person for questions about the credit union’s online services. In 2015, Traugut was named Employee of the Quarter, after two previous nominations. He received the President’s Circle Award for strategic support in 2016.

“Jason is always there for any issues that employees or members have,” noted one nominator. “He is respectful and kind and is very patient with members.” Another added, “Every interaction I've had with Jason has been very pleasant. He always answers his phone, calls you back or replies to an email or voicemail the same day.”

The Cushman Award is named for long-time board member John Cushman, whose unwavering focus on the members’ well-being still impacts Hanscom FCU staff. “What I like best about the Cushman Award is that it’s chosen by fellow employees,” Marotta stated. “Given the respect and admiration in Jason’s work history, I’m confident he was the perfect choice this year.”
