TruMark Financial Opens Branch at La Salle University

FORT WASHINGTON, Penn.­–TruMark Financial Credit Union celebrated the opening of a student credit union branch in Union Hall on La Salle University’s main campus.

Pennsylvania State Representatives Michael Driscoll, Kate Harper, Joanna McClinton and Madeline Dean, La Salle University President Colleen M. Hanycz, La Salle Board of Trustee Chair Stephen Zarrilli, TruMark Financial Board of Directors, and representatives from both organizations attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“TruMark Financial’s  commitment to providing financial education for young adults and
La Salle’s mission and tradition of combining progressive ideas with practical needs of students will provide the tools needed to make informed financial decisions,” said Richard F. Stipa, chief executive officer, TruMark Financial.

The credit union will have a presence on campus, engage in professional mentoring to students, and participate in the university’s experiential education program. As part of its ongoing financial literacy program, Building Financial Futures, credit union employees will also conduct personal finance presentations on topics such as saving, borrowing, investing, and budgeting on campus.
