FORT WASHINGTON, Penn. – TruMark Financial Credit Union sponsored a soccer clinic for 60 students from St. Jerome School at Talen Energy Stadium, home to the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.
Philadelphia Union coaches offered students training advice while they ran through different activity stations. At the completion of the activities, students met with Philadelphia Union goalie John McCarthy who signed autographs and shared soccer strategies.
“Soccer is my favorite sport, so it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to be able to play on this field. My classmates and I are very grateful to TruMark Financial for sponsoring such a nice event for us," said eighth grader Brendan Jackson.
TruMark Financial awarded the clinic to the students of St. Jerome School in recognition of their outstanding efforts to raise awareness about financial literacy throughout their school and the surrounding community.
St. Jerome School also partnered with TruMark Financial in their annual Kiss-a-Pig financial literacy fundraiser, sending a representative to smooch with a pot-bellied pig named Raines.
To date, TruMark Financial has raised and donated more than $300,000 to area schools in support of their financial literacy efforts.
