TruMark Financial Staff Kiss a Pig to Raise Funds

FORT WASHINGTON, Penn. — A pot-bellied pig named Raines received dozens of kisses from local business and community leaders, educators, and TruMark Financial employees here during the credit union’s eighth annual Kiss-a-Pig financial literacy fundraiser.

More FMradiopersonality Bill Tafrow was the event emcee and lead-off pig kisser. Bill Anderson, general assignment reporter, Fox29 News, was a special guest, and kissed the pig twice and then shared some tips with attendees about the importance of saving money from an early age.

The fundraiser is a component of TruMark Financial's the, Building Financial Futures. Funds raised at this event will allow area schools to provide students with the tools needed to learn the basics of personal finance, the credit union said

To date, TruMark Financial said it has donated more than $300,000 to area schools in need of personal finance resources. The grants have been used to purchase resources such as calculators, computer software, and textbooks to help teach the value of saving and the importance of managing money responsibly.
