TEMPE, Ariz. –TruWest Credit Union has donated $25,000 to support relief efforts for those impacted by the Marshall Colorado fire.
“We were shocked and sadden to see this devastating fire rage through the South Boulder, Colo. area and knew we wanted to send support,” said Alan Althouse, president and CEO of TruWest Credit Union. “It’s what we do as a credit union – we step up, reach out and support in any way we can.”
To maximize the impact, TruWest is donating $12,500 each to Elevations Credit Union/Elevations Foundation and Canvas Credit Union/Canvas Foundations. Both organizations will match these donations helping amplify the total to $50,000. Elevations Foundation will work with local agencies to provide assistance to the fire victims while the Canvas Foundation is working through the American Red Cross. All funds raised will provide immediate assistance through food, temporary housing, gas, transportation and insurance deductibles.
Individuals interested in supporting these relief efforts can make donations through the Elevations Foundation here, or the Canvas Foundation here.
