True Community Awards Scholarships

JACKSON, Mich. – TRUE Community Credit Union has named the recipients of five scholarships that are awarded each year as part of its education program.

This year, five students were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship, paid to the college, university, or technical school they are attending in the fall. The winners are:

  • Alivia Smith from Jackson, who will be attending Jackson College to study business.
  • Philip Coughlin from Brooklyn, who will be attending Northern Michigan University to study cybersecurity.
  • Mit Foley from Saginaw,  who will be attending Michigan State University to study human biology.
  • Keegan Schoendorf from Michigan Center, who will be attending Michigan State University to study nursing.
  • Karson Schroeder from Jackson, who will be attending Spring Arbor University to study broadcasting.

Both traditional students graduating in 2023 and non-traditional students over the age of 25 with a high school diploma or GED seeking a degree or return to complete a degree were eligible for the scholarship.
