Two CUNA Councils Hit Membership Milestones

MADISON, Wis.–The CUNA Lending Council has reached the milestone of 1,300 members, a result of several years of impressive growth and a collective commitment to striving for excellence in the credit union industry. The Lending Council has the 2nd largest membership of the six CUNA Councils, according to the Council.

“The Lending Council continues to grow not only because members appreciate the value of an organization devoted to learning and sharing with peers, but because the lending business is becoming increasingly challenging every year,” says Jason Osterhage, Lending Council Executive Committee Chair and SVP Lending at Alliant CU in Chicago. “I can’t imagine being in credit union lending, and in a leadership capacity, without being a CUNA Lending Council member.”

Meanwhile, the CUNA Technology Council reported that it has now reached 800 members.

“The Technology Council’s remarkable growth signifies how much our membership values being part of a peer-led, industry-focused, and discipline-focused organization,” says Belinda Caillouet, Technology Council Executive Committee Chair and COO/CIO at STCU in Liberty Lake, Wash. “The Council is a great source of knowledge, education, collaboration, and innovation.  As a technology leader, I cannot imagine not being part of this organization.”
