LOWELL, Mass.—Two people have been named Rising Stars by the Cooperative Credit Union League. Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union reported that Shaylah Begley, Assistant Treasurer-Branch Manager of its Haverhill branch, has been named a Rising Star as part of a program was created to recognize young, future leaders in New England credit unions.
“Shaylah Begley is very deserving of this recognition,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “We are very proud of her efforts both inside and outside of our organization. She truly exemplifies the credit union mission.”
Shaylah Begley has been with Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union for three years. She joined the Credit Union as an assistant branch manager and was promoted to branch manager for the Methuen branch in 2013.

In Somerville, Mass., Nicolle Medeiros, Retail Manager, received a 2015 Rising Star Award from the Cooperative Credit Union Association at the Great New England Credit Union Show. Mederios has been with Naveo for more than 10 ten years, and has held several branch roles leading up to her current position as the Retail Manager, where she is fully responsible for the oversight of two branches.
“This is the third consecutive year a Naveo Credit Union employee received a Rising Star Award, which is true testament to the character, ambition and willingness of our team to go further and ultimately provide better service to our members. I’m very proud of Nicolle’s accomplishments at the credit union,” said CEO Rui F. Domingos.
