AUSTIN, Texas—The United Heritage Charity Foundation’s sixth-annual Auto Raffle raised a record $70,424 this year.
Funds raised through raffle ticket sales make possible the Charity Foundation’s charitable objective throughout the year.
Floy Bryan, from Austin, Texas won a new 2016 Honda Civic LX sedan from Howdy Honda. The $1 winning ticket was purchased at United Heritage Credit Union’s Manchaca branch and drawn at an event held at Howdy Honda.
Proceeds from the Auto Raffle benefit local charities supported by the Charity Foundation. Since the first drawing in 2011, the Auto Raffle has raised a total of $336,905 for the Foundation.
“The United Heritage Charity Foundation extends its sincere thanks to all who purchased tickets and contributed to the Auto Raffle’s ultimate success in 2016,” United Heritage Charity Foundation Chairman May Lofgreen said. “We truly appreciate your support, as it enables the Foundation to consistently reach its central goal of providing assistance to local, deserving organizations.”
The United Heritage Charity Foundation was established in 2003 as a means to provide ongoing support to charities in the communities that we serve and make available needed assistance to nonprofit organizations. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $1.3 million in the Central and East Texas areas, including to the Austin Diaper Bank, American Heart Association, Capital Area Food Bank, CASA of Travis County and Central Texas, Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas and Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation.
