University FCU Installs its First ITM

SALT LAKE CITY-- University FCU here said it is ushering in a new age of customer service and banking with its new Interactive Teller Machines (ITM), now open for business at the University of Utah’s George S. Eccles Student Life Center. University FCU is the first financial institution in Utah to implement this innovative technology, which features the ease of automation paired with teller concierge service through real-time video.

“The benefit of ITM technology is that it brings together personalized service with automation,” the credit union said. “Members still have self-service convenience similar to an ATM, but with the assistance of a University Federal Credit Union teller. This allows for other complex transactions such as issuing cashier’s checks, making loan payments, ID verification, check cashing or other transactions and services that before could only be handled with a live teller. Before the ITM technology there were limitations and only certain transactions could be handled through the self-service channel. Now there are no limitations to providing remote assisted service quickly, conveniently and efficiently for University Federal Credit Union members.”
