VSECU To Host Fundraising Cycling Event

MONTPELIER, Vt.– VSECU and the Vermont Foodbank have announced a new fall date for the Point to Point, powered by VSECU, a cycling event to raise funds and awareness to fight hunger in Vermont. The iconic annual event will be held on Sept. 23, 2023 in Montpelier on the State House Lawn. Registration is now open for individuals and teams to sign up and enjoy scenic autumn rides through Central Vermont.

The September date is scheduled to coincide with Hunger Action Month, a nationally recognized campaign encouraging action and advocacy for the fight to end hunger, the credit union said.

“We are incredibly excited to host the Point to Point in September,” said Simeon Chapin, community impact officer at VSECU. “Fall is a gorgeous time to ride, and by connecting the event with Hunger Action Month, we hope that everyone in Vermont can join the fight against hunger and take action by riding, celebrating with us on the State House Lawn, or simply donating to the cause. Hunger is an issue that affects all of us—and takes all of us to fight.”

Through thousands of caring participants, the Point to Point has raised more than $2.2 million since the founding of the event to help to provide more than 3.6 million meals to Vermonters in need.

All rides in the Point to Point are fully supported and range from 10 to 110 miles, making the event accessible to all abilities.
