BILLINGS, Mont.—Valley Credit Union hosted its fifth annual holiday toy drive benefiting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s annual Toys for Tots program.
Through the credit union’s efforts and support from the community, they were able to surpass Valley’s initial goal of receiving 450 toys. Throughout the drive, 483 toys were collected in addition to over $3,300 fundraised by the credit union. These funds will go towards the purchasing of additional gifts to ensure more families throughout the community have gifts under the tree this Christmas, the CU said.
"We want to thank all those who took the time to participate in our annual toy drive this holiday season,” said Joe Olivo, VP-member experience at Valley Credit Union. “We are grateful for the opportunity to put our credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ to action to give back and make the holidays a little brighter for Billings families. With the support of so many, we were able to surpass our goal and ensure that more children will have a special Christmas morning this year.”
