VENTURA, Calif. — Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU) was selected to receive the “Business of the Year” award at the 50th Annual Top Ten Community Awards hosted by the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce. Recipients of the award were chosen for their positive impact on the business community in the past year.
The Annual Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony was held at the Serra Center in Camarillo, Calif. Recipients attended in semiformal dress attire for the cocktail reception and banquet dinner.
“We are honored to be recognized by the Chamber,” said Joseph Schroeder, president and CEO of VCCU. “VCCU strives to make our community better and provide excellent customer service and expertise to our members. On behalf of myself and the rest of VCCU, we’d like to personally thank the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce for this wonderful recognition.”
VCCU is one of 12 businesses being highlighted by the Camarillo Chamber for its important contributions toward the improvement of the business community. VCCU said it actively supports a wide variety of local nonprofits through its annual CommUNITY Giving program, which encourages employee volunteerism by compensating staff for up to 40 hours of community service per year. VCCU serves more than 70,000 members living in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.
