ENDICOTT, N.Y. – Visions Federal Credit Union said it matched $3,180 in member donations on Giving Tuesday as part of a corporate giveback challenge that matched member donations.
The challenge was facilitated through the credit union’s new Donate with Givio tool in digital banking.
Givio provides an online donation service to more than 1.6 million charities, schools, religious organizations, nonprofits, and Native American nations across the country. Visions said it integrated the service into its digital banking platform earlier this year and also covers donation processing fees. The corporate gift match was facilitated through their Visions Cares program.
“Giving back is foundational to Visions,” says Aisha Jasper, Visions’ community development manager. “The Visions Cares program was created not just for corporate giving, but also in the hopes that we could inspire others to give. Seeing the generosity of our members was wonderful and I’m proud that we were able to support the causes that matter to them.”
In total, $8,010 was donated to more than 80 nonprofits across Visions’ New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania footprint.
