ENDWELL, N.Y.–On GivingTuesday, Visions Federal Credit Union matched $10,000 in member donations to nonprofit organizations.
The gift match was part of a corporate giveback challenge for Visions members to support their favorite causes on GivingTuesday, the credit union said.
Visions invited members to log into their digital banking account and make donations to any registered nonprofit via Givio, a third-party application in Visions’ digital banking portal. Visions had integrated the service into its online platform in 2022.
The corporate gift match was facilitated through their Visions Cares program, promising to match up to $10,000 total, which was capped at $500 per person. They host similar campaigns throughout the year to highlight nonprofit organizations within their three-state footprint in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
“This was our most successful gift match yet, reaching more than a hundred nonprofits in just 14 hours,” said Social Media Administrator Micah Mellander, who oversees the campaigns.
In total, Visions members donated $12,285 to 107 nonprofit organizations, and the gift match raised that total to $22,285.
