GREENSBORO, N.C.–Vizo Financial joined the ranks of many other supporters that participated in Victory Junction’s Run to Victory 5K/10K event. The Corporate was part of the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation’s Credit Unions Care – Team Reach, which was comprised of credit union employees and collectively raised $5,100 for the event.
Run to Victory is an annual fundraiser event for Victory Junction, a no-cost camp for children with disabilities in Randleman, N.C. The camp provides these children with opportunities to build friendships with their peers, engage in activities they never thought possible and create lasting memories.
“It’s inspiring to see the level of dedication and fellowship that this event brings out in the community,” said Erin Doan, Vizo Financial’s administration and community relations director. “The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation and the Credit Unions Care team demonstrated a true passion for Run to Victory, and Victory Junction as a whole.”
Nearly 500 people participated in the event, which raised a grand total of $64,423.41 to benefit Victory Junction.
“This year’s Run to Victory was originally scheduled to take place in September, but had to be moved due to Hurricane Florence. Despite that, the turnout was amazing and Vizo Financial was honored to be a part of the event that helps so many children live out their dreams,” said Doan.
