VyStar Continues its Expansion in Georgia With New Branch

SUWANNEE, Ga.— VyStar Credit Union has opened its second branch location in Metro Atlanta, this one at 3838 Johns Creek Parkway in Suwanee, Georgia.

The Suwanee branch is a HUB location with both a branch and a Contact Center in the same building and also features VyStar’s digital-forward design, the credit union said.

“We’re excited to open our Suwanee branch and expand the credit union’s presence in Metro Atlanta,” said VyStar EVP/Chief Operations Officer Chad Meadows. “VyStar’s first branch in Gwinnett County will provide residents and business owners with access to great rates, low or no fees, early direct deposit, rewards on credit cards, financial wellness education, and member-centric service that only a credit union can provide.”

VyStar said as one of VyStar’s HUB locations, the Suwanee branch will have an important role in how the credit union serves its members. It allows employees to pivot as needed to provide exceptional service for members how and when they prefer to be served. This expanded site also provides additional job opportunities for residents in the community, the credit union said.

“The Suwanee branch also features VyStar’s innovative digital-forward design, which enhances how employees connect with members,” according to VyStar. “This includes interactive touchscreen kiosks that provide helpful financial tools and allow members to quickly explore the latest products, services, and rates in addition to finding thenewest product offerings.”

“We’re thrilled to be growing in vibrant communities in North Georgia to help stimulate the local economy.” said VyStar SVP/Georgia Market President Janean Armstrong. “With five branches now in Georgia and our first Contact Center in Metro Atlanta, VyStar is able to generate a range of employment opportunities from customer service representatives to branch managers.”

In support of its purpose to Do Good, VyStar works with nonprofit organizations across the communities it serves. VyStar will make a $5,000 donation to Junior Achievement of Georgia to celebrate the Suwanee Branch grand opening and ribbon cutting event in February. VyStar also supports Frontline Housing Inc., the James M. Dixon Foundation for Alzheimer's Research and Support, National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., 100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta, Inc., and The Gentlemen’s Network.

VyStar said it is also a proud partner of Stockbridge Amphitheater, also known as “The Bridge,” which has over 3,600 seats and brings popular performing artists of all genres to Stockbridge. VyStar is also a member of The Georgia Chamber of Commerce to engage with and support area businesses. Through these community partnerships, the credit union offers members in the region exclusive VyStar Perks and discounts in addition to the best-in-class financial services.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to serve a community known for its high-quality of life and distinctive parks,” said Suwanee Branch Vice President Shomari Furtch. “The Suwanee branch team is excited to build relationships with local residents and area businesses and provide them with exceptional financial products and services along with personalized service. Suwanee and Johns Creek residents will also benefit from our purpose to Do Good and build better, stronger communities for everyone.”

VyStar has four other locations in Georgia: Thomasville, Stockbridge, Brunswick, and Savannah with plans to open additional branches in Marietta, Smyrna, Norcross, Pooler, and Kingsland in 2024.

The credit union said it is also expanding its services in Florida with a new branch in Altamonte Springs in January, and more branches planned in 2024.
