VyStar Opens First Atlanta-Area Branch

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga.–Florida-based VyStar Credit Union has opened its first location in metro Atlanta, with a new branch at 980 Eagles Landing Parkway in Stockbridge. The Stockbridge branch is VyStar’s 73rd full-service branch.

“The opening of the Stockbridge branch establishes VyStar’s footprint in Metro Atlanta,” said VyStar EVP/Chief Operations Officer Chad Meadows. “We are excited to have this opportunity to provide financial products and services for residents and businesses in Henry County. This branch enables us to better serve members and community partners in Stockbridge and across North Georgia.”

VyStar’s said its fourth branch in Georgia expands the credit union’s presence to better serve members by providing access to great rates, low or no fees, early direct deposit, rewards on credit cards, financial wellness education, member-centric service and more.

“At the heart of everything we do at VyStar is our dedication and determination to build better, stronger communities for everyone,” said VyStar SVP/Georgia Market President Janean Armstrong. “From member service representatives to branch managers, VyStar's arrival in Metro Atlanta will generate a range of employment opportunities that can help stimulate the local economy.”

The Stockbridge branch features VyStar’s digital-forward design, which enhances how employees connect with members. This includes interactive touchscreen kiosks that provide financial tools and allow members to quickly explore the latest products, services, and rates, the credit union said.

In support of its purpose to Do Good, VyStar said it has made a $5,000 donation to Frontline Housing Inc.

VyStar said it is also a proud partner of Stockbridge Amphitheater, also known as “The Bridge,” which has over 3,600 seats and brings popular performing artists of all genres to Stockbridge.

“We are pleased to be part of this scenic and historical community,” said Brunswick Branch Vice President Hardy Abbott Jr. “Our entire branch team is excited to build relationships with local residents in this growing city and support them to achieve their financial goals.”

VyStar recently opened branches in Brunswick and Savannah, and last year, the credit union opened its first Georgia branch in Thomasville. VyStar said it plans to open additional branches in Marietta, Suwanee, Smyrna, Norcross, Pooler and Kingsland in 2024. The credit union is also expanding its presence in Florida with a new branch in Altamonte Springs later this year, and more branches planned in the future.
