Wescom CU Helps Folks to Spring Forward (With Free Coffee)

LOS ANGELES–Wescom Credit Union helped Southern Californians to “spring forward” and adjust to Daylight Savings Time on Sunday by picking up beverage tabs for customers at 21 locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

The initiative, part of its ongoing Wescom Kindness campaign, paid beverage tabs up to $15 per transaction until $2,000 worth of bills were paid at each of the 21 Coffee Bean stores. This was the third year the credit union has sponsored the effort as part of its broader community engagement efforts.

“Many people are surprised to learn that Wescom is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned by our members. To support our mission of making banking a better experience, we’re excited to spread #WescomKindness in Southern California with our third annual event in association with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,” said Deena Otto, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Administration, Wescom Credit Union. “This year we’ve added two more locations to the list of participating Coffee Bean cafes, allowing us to surprise more people in our communities with free coffee to brighten their day.”
