PASADENA, Calif.--Cybersecurity continues to be a major focal point as data security and fraud threats continue to spike. Wescom Credit Union is further strengthening its information security practice with the appointment of seasoned executive Mark Dy-Ragos as vice president of information security, the CU said.
In his role, Dy-Ragos is responsible for bolstering Wescom’s Security Awareness program that aims to help increase the organization’s understanding of the risk and threats of the evolving cyber world, and how to protect the organization and its members from cyber-attacks. In addition, Dy-Ragos will oversee Wescom’s comprehensive security program focused on identifying gaps, setting targets and establishing metrics to measure and improve organization’s security maturity level, the CU said.
Prior to joining Wescom, Dy-Ragos navigated security issues in complex environments from government to healthcare, developing specialties including digital forensics and encryption.
