PASADENA, Calif.–The Wescom Foundation, Wescom Credit Union’s employee-run charitable foundation, is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, it held a member giving campaign throughout May, matching donations up to $25,000.
During this philanthropic campaign, the Foundation supported five nonprofit organizations:
A Place Called Home, House of Ruth, MEND, and Thomas House Family Shelter were selected because they are the Wescom Foundation’s Signature Grantees and have been long-time partners. Rancho Cielo is a long-time nonprofit partner of Central Coast Federal Credit Union, which recently merged with Wescom Credit Union.
Members of Wescom Credit Union were able to make donations through the website/online banking or through its mobile banking app. The donations were given equally to the selected nonprofit organizations listed above.
The Foundation has donated $4.9 million to date, supporting nonprofits since 1999. Since 2020, members have contributed over $610,000 to support Wescom Foundation’s Giving Campaigns.
In addition to the Foundation’s 25th anniversary this year, Wescom will be celebrating its 90th anniversary later this year.
